The vehicle runs and drives, but will need some work to make it a daily driver. Convertible top is operable but not perfect. There is a rip in a top cloth, but it does not leak. Up for bid is my 1990 SAAB SPG (my 10th SAAB). Yes, it was Talladega RED. YES, I did repaint it. DON'T ask why. I painted it a PORSCHE grey. Anyway, I have owned this SAAB SPG with 147k on it for probably 2-3 Years and have literally driven it five times. The repair list is way too long, but, recent work includes: new Bilsteins, springs, brakes, steering column, AERO RIMS new tires and completely tuned up the engine. All body and SPG panels were removed, repaired and repainted with correct SPG paint. I give the paint job a solid 8.5 of 10. Also all the trim around glass was repainted. It runs well. Although if you are reading this then you know how a 29 year old SAAB runs, the weirdness of these vehicles (and if you have issues like me) appreciate them all. Turbo is strong. Overall car drives well. Again for a 29 year old SAAB. All electronics work properly (including the electric antenna!. Interior is OK. Has a dash pad on as you can see. A small split in the rear seat and the boot shift needs replacement. As I said, if you are looking at this then you know what you are looking at. Again, car runs well. This one is equipped with the peppy B202L Turbo 4 cylinder engine and backed by a 5 speed manual transmission. It starts right up and runs good.The turbo engages properly.No smoking or leaking.The clutch feels good and it engages properly even the upshift light on the dash panel works! The engine is clean and appears well maintained. We ran a Carfax maintenance report and it shows some service history.The Kumho radial tires have pretty good tread and are mounted on the aluminum factory wheels.It will need the front brake pads replaced.The interior is clean and looks good overall for being 29 years old! The blue leather seats,door panels and carpet show minimal wear.Even the power moonroof works correctly! All the dash gauges work correctly,except the odometer.This one is equipped with heated seats,rear defogger and power windows and mirrors.The A/C has been converted to R134a and works.The lower factory Clarion stereo equalizer is still there but it needs a stereo installed.The hatch struts work nicely and the trunk area is clean and includes the original spare and jack assembly.All the wipers and lights work also.The original owners manual,service and audio booklets and 2 original keys are included.The body looks very good for it age!
